I’m taking a poll…..

I’m trying to determine how to decorate our new tiny apartment (flat, flat ok I’ll call it a flat!) and I cannot decide which color scheme to go with. Please look to the right side of this blog and vote for your choice.

(PS – I have to do this because Burr might kill me if I keep asking him questions while he is trying to work, but seriously we have no phone, internet, or TV, what am I suppossed to do?)

So last night I was sketching our apartment out with different curtains, pictures, bookshelves, etc. and trying to ask Burr what he thought. But, if anyone has ever seen my drawing skills that would be like asking someone what is the difference between these 2 stick people I drew!

*Side Note 1 - There is a reason I am an accountant, my artsy side is just not there*

Plus, I only had a black pen so everything I pointed at to Burr, I had to qualify with “That is silver sage”, “ That is a crimson” and Burr is thinking “What is the world is silver sage?”
(Bonus points for those who know where that color stems from!) And I cannot decide, so I need your help.

Also, I have no ability to pick out anything on my own – I need force behind me saying “Hurry up” or “No, that is AWFUL! And then I can make a purchase or proceed to the next, but without either I’m stuck in “AHHHH – I have to pick out everything on my OWN¬!”

- I should note that I think if Burr had his way we would just leave the ugly white thin curtains up with the hooks on the walls but no pictures for 2 years and he would say “ Isn’t this place great!” – or maybe he would decorate with bulletin board pictures like he did in college….actually that is not a terrible idea.

OK anyway…here is what we got

1. Dark Brown leather sofa
2. White/Cream carpet approx. 8*10feet under the coffee table and in front of the sofa
3. Black wood coffee table
4. Black end tables with silver legs
5. Kitchen table (wood – kind of the lighter color though)
6. Wood floors (again, lighter color wood)
7. All white paint everywhere
8. Kitchen is brown/black with silver appliances.

So, I know we need new curtains, couch pillows, pictures, etc. but what color scheme do I choose with the black/brown/tan combo we have going on?! I keep seeing the brown couch with some darker red pillows and it looks good, but I also see the silver sage colors and I really like that too.
