Anne – “They are for 8. Do we need to change?”

Burr – “I am not planning on it”

Anne “What do you mean not planning on it? Do you mean not planning on making dinner? Do I need to change the reservation?



Burr – “No, I thought you were telling me I needed to change clothes before dinner!”



Anne – hahahahahahaha....Yes, yes that would be a typical question I would ask you! But this time I was asking if you were actually going to make dinner.



Sooooo funny. (No, but really its not Burr’s fault – I really do ask stuff like that and have been trying to figure out what to wear myself all day!)

PS – This was yesterday and I was the one who had to cancel because of work. I heart my job sometimes.

Hobnobs beat Oreos hands down!

So my friend Tabitha recently introduced me to a Hobnbob. What is a Hobnob you ask? It is a delicious yummy awesome fantastic sweet biscuit, or known to most of you as a cookie. (Yes, they are biscuits here – savory or sweet typically).

So this Hobnob is a digestive biscuit (i.e. oat cookie) dipped in chocolate on one side. If you take this cookie and dip it in tea/coffee the chocolate kind of melts off of it and it is fantastic. I am in love.

I knew I was officially used to the life in England when Burr brought Oreos home from the store the other day and I didn’t even want one. I only wanted Hobnobs!

My dear friend Kambry sent me this today and I am SOOOOO excited!!!!

British Summer Time begins this year on 27 March (and not this weekend as previously suggested).

The clocks will "Spring forward" by one hour on this day, which means that you will have one less hour in bed as at 1.00 am GMT the UK moves to 2.00 am BST.

On the brighter side - it means that Summer is officially on it's way!

Which means I DID IT! Yes I sure did. I offically made it through 2 British winters - what kind of prize do I get for this? I mean this is fairly amazing for me, and I complained a LOT LOT LOT less during the 2nd one  Thank goodness for my fake-happy light to help me through! I recommend to all :-)

Weekend Update

We had a very social weekend which I LOVED! Beginning Friday night with friends at my favorite London restaurant - Bar Boulod - http://danielnyc.com/barboulud_hub.html.  So amazing!!!

Saturday morning we were invited to a huge brunch at our friends the Gunnings'. The food was to die for, right down to the old fashioned candies on the table. So scrumpitous. (Pics to come once I recover my camera).

After we left brunch we headed over to Portabello to pick up bags for our trip! We are fairly certain they will break on us mid-trip because they were so cheap but hey they are bags and we're going - woo woo.

Saturday night we were invited to a dinner party at Steve and Jo's house. Jo made slow cooked lamb and cheesecake so how could it not be amazing?  And the evening ended with me doing a solo to Beyonce's Single Ladies because I may or may not know the whole dance and I may or may not have had a lot of wine (K.Kicklighter - I miss you!).  The evening wouldn't have been the same without Burr's rap to Warren G (at least I think it was him - not positive).

Sunday I took a fabulous walk with my dear friend Kambry. Then Burr and I  went to the movies with Daniela and Dave, followed by some dinner.

Full of friends, fun, food, and wine!!! Oh the days are going by too fast.
