Anne's first day of work

So, have you all ever seen cubes that come waist high? Well they are ALL OVER my building. Literally everyone can see what you are you doing at any given time and vice versa. Its a very different environment.

I was given some girl named Katherine's cube today, apparently she is on maternity leave and they are short on cubes (Side Note * Yes, short waist high and short as in they have none left). My question is - what happens when "said Katherine" returns? Are we going to share the wee little waist high cube??? This shall be interesting.

The strangest thing that happened today was the man singing on the tube. The tube is packed, mind you, and this crazy man with a guitar is full out playing and singing like he is Bon Jovi - super long hair and beard and thinks he is fabulous. Every time he finishes a song (Side note * Yes, unfortunately I heard more than 1 song, 3 to be exact) he looks around waiting for applause. Now you would think on a tube where you cannot move someone would get mad that the guitar singing wannabe is taking up space but no one seems to mind? How very strange.

The other interesting thing I saw was SKINNY on STREETS, LARGE and IN CHARGE at the gym. What does this mean exactly? Well....you will notice that every Londoner is tiny! They walk everywhere and eat 80% bread at every meal so they are super skinny (Side note = don't ask me about the full carb diet - it appears to work here). Then I go to take a tour of a gym and every single girl working out is overweight, what?! Yes, every treadmill, bike, stairmaster, etc. is taken up by a larger person. So, I am now distraught. Why join a gym when I could walk all day and survive on mostly bread? This whole dilemma is just confusing. Any thoughts?
